Qiana Miles is a Dayton, OH native residing in Orlando, FL. Qiana got her start in the church children's choir at the tender age of 3. Formal training began when she was accepted in the local performing arts school, Stivers School for the Arts. With musical influences like Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Tamia and Brandy, she began to draw closer to the light of performing.
Qiana has performed at various events, community plays throughout the city of Dayton, talent shows and national competitions in which she won Bronze in the NAACP ACT-SO Competition as well as recording music for a number of local artists. She began to really develop a love for singing and songwriting desiring more training to better her craft. After graduating high school, Qiana continued her musical matriculation attending Kentucky State University as a student in the Bachelor of Arts in Music program.
At Kentucky State University, she was under the great tutelage of Dr. Carl H. Smith and Dr. Barbara Buck within the music department. As a student there, Qiana gained experience through classical training, singing in three different languages, and participating in an opera theater classic, "Porgy and Bess". After four years of higher education and training, Qiana graduated with honors in 2011.
With a desire to learn more of the business side of the industry, she enrolled into Full Sail University's Master of Science program with a focus in Entertainment Business, in Orlando Florida. In 2012, she graduated and began her journey into the industry looking for many opportunities as a front line performer and artist as well as behind the scenes.
Living within a short distance of Disney World, Qiana began to audition for many offerings within the company. In 2013, she made her mark and great impression on the casting directors and landed a spot as a cast member. Since then she has performed full time in a number of shows including Joyful! A Gospel Celebration of the Season, American Music Machine, The Voices of Liberty and currently, The Festival of The Lion King.
With much theme park success, Qiana has been blessed with many opportunities such as a 6 month performing contract in Hawaii through Norwegian Cruise Line, lending her voice in the studio to the music of some of Disney's greatest fireworks and overseas show recordings, sharing the stage with artists like Yolanda Adams and Chester Gregory, singing the national anthem for the Jacksonville Jaguars game and the VRBO Citrus Bowl while also performing and recording background vocals for various Central Florida local acts. Being in the studio ignited her desire to get back to her first love; singing and writing original music.
